At the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Public Library, we are dedicated to creating programs and materials that resonate with our community’s passions and provide vital services. Our goal is to connect with as many members of our community as possible, which is why we share this monthly newsletter and keep our Facebook and Instagram pages updated.
As we approach National Library Week in April, let this be a reminder to explore our emails and social media. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing all the wonderful experiences we have to offer!
Millions of people visit their libraries every week—and for good reason. During National Library Week, April 19–25, 2026, take time to discover what brings you joy at your library.
Visit your library and bring friends or family along.
Encourage a friend to get a library card—it’s a simple act that opens up a world of opportunity.
Browse the shelves, join a book club, or attend a storytime. Get started on your next creative project in a makerspace, hear from an inspiring author, or find expert help with research, job hunting, or uncovering your family roots. Libraries connect us to ideas, information, and each other—and they’re built for everyone.
Find Your Joy at the Library! Book Bundles
We want to help YOU discover your library joy! We're offering Book Bundles: fill out a form about your preferences and dislikes in stories, and one of our librarians will choose 3-5 books for you to try. This is a great way to discover a new author or series you might not find on your own. We're here to help you find your (library) joy.
Interested? Simply click on the image below to access the form. You can also find links on our website, and we will be posting about this on Facebook soon. Please allow up to 3 weekdays for your bundle to be selected and ready for pickup. You will be notified by text, email, or phone call.
